Where Our Systems Are Used

We supply structural strengthening systems for a wide range of project types. These systems have been successfully used in commercial office towers, logistics parks, and multi-level developments across Cape Town and the Western Cape:

Why Use Post Tensioning?

Post tensioning enhances structural performance by:

Optimizing Slab Thickness & Reinforcement

Reducing slab thickness and reinforcement volumes.

Extended Spans & Design Freedom

Increasing span length and design flexibility.

Enhanced Crack Control & Durability

Improving crack control and structural resilience.

Thinner, Lighter Concrete Solutions

Allowing for thinner, lighter concrete sections.

Enabling Structural Design Innovation

Supporting architectural and engineering innovation.

Accelerating Construction with Faster Pours

Reducing construction timelines with faster pour cycles.

Technical Standards & Strand Details

Our systems meet SANS, EN, and international structural codes. Hydraulic jacks ensure controlled wedge draw-ins (up to 6 mm) during stressing.

The Anchorage System

Our systems use a reliable two-stage anchorage method for efficient load transfer:

Stage 1

Fixing – steel strands are fixed in place prior to the pour.

Stage 2

Stressing – tension is applied once concrete has cured.

We use both live and dead anchorages for accurate pre-stressing, improving load efficiency and crack resistance.

All anchorage components undergo static and dynamic load testing in accordance with BS 4447 to ensure safe load transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply and install post tensioning systems?

Yes. We provide complete turnkey services including cable supply, layout drawings, duct and anchor installation, tensioning, and final grouting.

Absolutely. We collaborate with your structural engineers to optimise slab layouts, tendon positioning, and structural performance.

We use 7-wire plastic sheathed strands in 12.9 mm and 15.7 mm sizes, manufactured to B.S. 5896 super grade standards with tensile strengths up to 265 kN.

All equipment is calibrated to SABS standards. Anchorages are tested to BS 4447 and stressing is monitored for force, elongation, and wedge draw-in to ensure performance.

Yes. Our team handles on-site stressing, wedge setting, and grout injection to complete the bonded system and achieve load transfer.
